For years, I thought weight loss was all about willpower.
As a busy working mum, I was always putting everyone else's needs before my own. Between work, family life and everyday responsibilities, healthy eating often took a back seat. Every diet started with good intentions but ended with the same frustration when the weight crept back on. I blamed myself when really I was missing the understanding, structure and support needed to make lasting changes.
As I approached my 40th birthday, I was the unhealthiest I'd ever been. I was beginning to experience perimenopausal symptoms, my confidence was at an all-time low, and I felt unhappy both physically and mentally.
In June 2025, I started The 1:1 Diet. Over the following seven months, I lost 5½ stone and completely changed my relationship with food, health and myself.
What I've learned is that successful weight loss isn't about being perfect. It's about understanding your body, creating healthier habits and finding an approach that works in real life, even when life is busy. The support I received made all the difference, and that's why I'm now passionate about helping others achieve their own goals.
Today, I'm healthier, happier and more confident than I've been in years. I have more energy, feel more comfortable in my own skin, and know how to maintain my weight without feeling deprived.
