When I started my 1:1 weight loss journey 15 years ago, never did I think it would mean a change of career, many rewarding years as a mentor to my slimmer’s and the ability to build my very own team.

Previously I worked in the fast-paced London television production industry and thrived working as part of a team, but freelancing meant moving company’s every few months, working all hours, unpredictable income and often working away from home – all of which was exhausting.

When I fell pregnant with my son I knew something would have to change and when I reached my pre-pregnancy weight goal, my Cambridge Consultant suggested I join her team and retrain using my people skills in a different way. I was apprehensive but enjoy a challenge and I can safely say I do not regret my decision to join The 1:1 Diet brand.

I love being self employed, working my own hours that fit around my family. I never have to miss school assemblies, productions or sports days. I can fit in coffee with friends and family and still make a very decent income. I set my own goals and deadlines and do not have to work late or weekends if I don’t want to. I am confident I will never work for somebody else again. The harder I work, the more money I can make, my potential to earn more is limitless.

The support my team and The 1:1 Diet community give is amazing. We can access lots of different training workshops, regional meetings, local coffee catch ups, facebook support groups and there is the annual convention which is the highlight of the year! I am self employed but never feel alone – there is always someone to reach out to.

My team supports one another with advice, stock swapping, holiday cover and gives us a reason to get-together, have fun and giggle. Being in lockdown and having technology at our finger tips has not stopped the fun and it’s now even more important to reach out as we have to stay home and distance from others.
