The 1:1 Diet donates healthy food packs to people in need

Published: 7th May, 2020

07 May, 2020: The 1:1 Diet by Cambridge Weight Plan has pledged its support for Lincolnshire people in need this week, by supplying them with complimentary care packages.

The Corby-based food manufacturing company donated 16,000 meals to Grantham Food Bank in Lincolnshire.

This is additional help provided by the food manufacturing company, which recently donated free snack packs filled with some of the brand’s nutritious products to front line care staff in Corby and to Age UK Northampton.

Chris McDermott, Managing Director of The 1:1 Diet, said: “We have seen the great work carried out by others for people in need at this time of unprecedented crisis, and we felt passionate about showing our support.”

Brain Hanbury, Grantham Food Bank manager, said: “Thank you for providing these much-needed Step up meals. 2,000 meals will be going to families at a point of crisis in Grantham and another 1,000 to those elsewhere in Lincolnshire.

“They will be distributed over the next few months. Each pack contains nine nutritionally balanced meals that can go towards either lunch or tea. We are very grateful for this donation.”

Jackie Nettleton, account manager at Yorkshire-based food manufacturing company Holmesterne, which is a supplier for The 1:1 Diet, added: “Holmesterne was very pleased to be able to facilitate the donation and delivery to the Grantham Foodbank on behalf of The 1:1 Diet by Cambridge Weight Plan.”
