The Wellbeing Award
This award celebrates the difference a weight-loss journey can make to everyday wellbeing, confidence and independence.

Jamie Capp
Consultant: Maria Simpson
Weight lost: 3st 0lb
After a brain haemorrhage in 2020 and more than nine months in hospital, Jamie was told he might never walk again. For the father of five, the thought of missing precious family moments was devastating. As limited mobility led to weight gain, he turned to The 1:1 Diet and lost three stone in four months. Today, Jamie walks with a four-wheel walker and is even taking steps while holding his carers’s arm. He has bought his own flat and continues to work towards greater independence. His progress is measured in the everyday freedoms he once feared he had lost.

Julie Spencer-Casey
Consultant: Lisa Wagstaff
Weight lost: 3st 0lb
Living with knee arthritis and type 2 diabetes, Julie felt exhausted and isolated, often turning to food for comfort. After trying several diets, she found structure and encouragement through The 1:1 Diet and her Consultant, Lisa. She lost three stone and reported improvements in her blood sugar levels, alongside a reduced need for medication and pain relief. As her energy returned, so did her sense of independence. Julie has since moved to a seaside town and bought a bungalow, taking on decorating and DIY projects she once felt too tired to attempt. With Lisa becoming a valued friend, she is embracing a new chapter with renewed enthusiasm.

Lynn Croombs
Consultant: Jo Collins
Weight lost: 5st 7lb
Looking at photographs from her 39th birthday, Lynn knew she did not want to spend another year hiding from cameras and watching life from the sidelines. Chest pain, migraines and painful joints were making it harder to enjoy time with her two children. She started The 1:1 Diet in June 2025 and has since lost 5st 7lb. Today, she reports that her chest pain and heart palpitations have disappeared, while her migraines have improved. The moments that mean most include fastening an aeroplane seatbelt without an extender and hearing her family ask her to slow down on walks. Once reluctant to be photographed, Lynn now shares her story to help others believe change is possible.
The Comeback of the Year Award
This is for the slimmer who has faced challenges and setbacks on their weight-loss journey. Perhaps struggled to keep going at times, but has persevered, kept going and achieved amazing results. This is a celebration of overcoming challenges with a positive outcome.

Amanda Humphreys
Consultant: Karen Gibson
Weight lost: 5st 0lb
Already living with several chronic conditions, Amanda faced a breast cancer diagnosis in 2023 and 18 months of demanding treatment. Chemotherapy and steroids contributed to weight gain during an exhausting chapter of her life. Following treatment, she wanted to focus on herself and began The 1:1 Diet with support from Karen. Losing five stone helped her rebuild her confidence and look ahead with renewed hope. For her 50th birthday, Amanda booked her dream holiday to Hawaii, celebrating how far she had come. After years of putting her own needs aside, she was ready to make her future a priority.
John Howell
Consultant: Deborah Adams
Weight lost: 7st 7lb
After losing his twin brother, his relationship and his home, John felt deeply depressed and isolated. Severe back pain and sciatica made walking difficult, while food became a source of comfort. Meeting his Consultant, Deborah, gave him someone who listened and encouraged him to seek professional therapy alongside following The 1:1 Diet. John has since lost 7st 7lb and reports that he no longer walks with a limp or experiences the back pain that once restricted him. He has also been told he is no longer pre-diabetic. With support for both his physical and emotional wellbeing, John is finding his way back to feeling confident and proud.

Sharon Melemendjian
Consultant: Amanda Horsman
Weight lost: 4st 3lb
Feeling uncomfortable in her clothes at her son’s 21st birthday prompted Sharon to contact her Consultant, Amanda. She began making progress, but a cancer diagnosis meant pausing the Plan for surgery and recovery. Amanda continued offering emotional support until Sharon felt ready to return in June 2026. Despite another setback when a dog attack left her hospitalised, she has now lost 4st 3lb. Approaching her daughter’s 21st birthday, Sharon felt worlds away from the woman who had struggled to dress for her son’s celebration. Her love of fashion has returned, along with the confidence to enjoy being herself again.
The Beyond the Scale Award
This award goes to the person who’s truly overhauled their life. It could be that they’ve found love since losing weight and are now planning the wedding of their dreams. Or maybe their newly discovered confidence landed them an amazing job, doing something they could’ve only imagined before The 1:1 Diet. This is the award for achievements that go way beyond weight.

Hollie Lewis
Consultant: Mel Coleman
Weight lost: 9st 2lb
At 18 stone, Hollie avoided mirrors and photographs, determined to change but struggling to recognise herself. During her weight-loss journey, her mum was diagnosed with terminal cancer, and running became a source of comfort. After her mum died, grief and weight regain left Hollie feeling lost, but she eventually found the strength to begin again. With the structure of The 1:1 Diet, she reached her goal and lost 9st 2lb. She also signed up for the London Marathon and raised more than £5,000 for the hospice that cared for her mum. Now a Consultant herself, Hollie uses her experience to help others find hope through difficult times.

Louise Chatham
Consultant: Anne Connor
Weight lost: 5st 8lb
When her husband, Chris, was diagnosed with a rare, incurable blood cancer in 2022, Louise realised she needed to care for herself as well as her family. Returning to The 1:1 Diet, she found structure during an emotionally challenging time and encouragement from her Consultant, Anne. Reaching her target around her 40th birthday gave her the confidence to explore ambitions she had put aside. Louise took up running, completed a marathon and secured a place in the 2027 London Marathon for an MPN charity. She also pursued her dream of working for the police and is now an operational member. Feeling stronger and more capable, she is discovering how much more life can hold.

Shanice Watson
Consultant: Deborah Adams
Weight lost: 8st 0lb
Suspecting her partner was about to propose, Shanice felt anxious about wedding photographs and dress shopping rather than excited. After a difficult twin pregnancy and the loss of both grandparents, food had become a source of comfort. With her Consultant, Deborah, she began understanding her emotional triggers and making time for herself. As she lost eight stone, walking and joining in with challenges helped her confidence grow. When the proposal came, Shanice proudly shared her engagement photographs and looked forward to choosing a dress she loved. She is also enjoying being more active with her children, including running around in a bikini on holiday, something she once struggled to imagine.
The Against the Odds Award
This award goes to the slimmer who has achieved something remarkable despite facing exceptional challenges or circumstances that could easily have stood in their way. Their journey proves that progress is possible even when the odds are stacked against you, demonstrating extraordinary resilience, determination and strength of character.
Margaret Taylor
Consultant: Karen Smiles
Weight lost: 5st 9lb
Following a relationship breakdown, Margaret was raising four children when one of her sons tragically died in his early twenties. While grieving, she continued caring for her family, including two disabled sons, one of whom needs round-the-clock care. A move to an unfamiliar part of the country deepened her isolation, until her Consultant, Karen, offered kindness and encouragement. Margaret has since lost 5st 9lb and rediscovered her confidence. She volunteers at a local charity shop and feels able to connect with her community. Honouring her son’s memory, she is showing her family how important it is to make time for yourself, even as a full-time carer.
Stacey Mullins
Consultant: Loren Knight and Abbie Lodge
Weight lost: 6st 12lb
When her baby daughter needed open-heart surgery, Stacey found herself far from home, turning to convenient food for comfort. Afterwards, she struggled to recognise herself and took weeks to find the courage to contact a Consultant. Starting The 1:1 Diet helped her feel supported, and she approached a later hospital stay with a plan for her own meals. With encouragement from her husband and Consultants, Stacey has become an active mum and an enthusiastic runner, completing distances of ten miles. Date nights and family activities are enjoyable again, and she is embracing challenges she once avoided. From running around with her children to playing tennis with her husband, Stacey is saying yes to more of life.

Victoria Hemsley
Consultant: Amanda Plastow
Weight lost: 7st 0lb
After more than 15 years of trying to conceive, Vicky faced repeated unsuccessful IVF treatment and serious complications that left her hospitalised. Alongside losing the grandparents who raised her, the heartbreak took a heavy toll, and she turned to food and drink for comfort. Around a year after treatment ended, she felt ready to focus on her own wellbeing. She found her Consultant, Amanda, whose personal weight-loss experience helped her feel understood. With Amanda’s encouragement, Vicky has lost seven stone and learnt to keep going through difficult days. While the emotional impact of infertility remains, she is moving forward with support from her husband and renewed determination to care for herself.
The Slimmer of the Year Award
This award goes to the person who’s not only lost a life-changing amount of weight, but also discovered a new passion for life, becoming an inspiration and guide to all who have followed their journey. From a significant physical transformation to a new and healthier approach to food, this is our slimmer of the moment.

Brian Stanton
Consultant: Annette Hogben
Weight lost: 16st 7lb
After losing his partner, Ollie, in 2017, Brian turned to late-night beers and takeaways for comfort as his world gradually became smaller. Everyday tasks grew difficult, and several attempts at The 1:1 Diet ended before he felt ready to commit. A serious warning from his doctor became the turning point, and he restarted the Plan in May 2025 with continued Consultant support. Now 16st 7lb lighter and nearing his target, Brian walks without pain and enjoys exercising and socialising again. He has also found love with Julie, whose daughter and granddaughter have brought a renewed sense of family into his life. After years of simply getting through each day, Brian is looking forward to his future again.

Kayleigh Page
Consultant: Loren Knight and Abbie Lodge
Weight lost: 8st 5lb
Struggling with her mental health and the demands of becoming a mum, Kayleigh turned to food for comfort and gradually lost confidence. Shopping became upsetting, and she avoided situations because she felt uncomfortable in her body. Wanting to feel like herself again, she began her journey and has now lost 8st 5lb with encouragement from her support network. Today, she feels stronger and more energetic, enjoying adventures and running around with her child. She is more comfortable socialising and chooses clothes she loves rather than outfits to hide behind. Knowing her worth was never determined by her weight, Kayleigh is embracing life with renewed confidence.

Linda Hall-Davall
Consultant: Gemma Card
Weight lost: 10st 4lb
When Linda began The 1:1 Diet in April 2025, painful joints and low confidence were stopping her from fully joining in with family life. As a foster carer who always put others first, she wanted the energy and mobility to share more experiences with the children she cared for. With her Consultant, Gemma, she worked through the Steps, lost 10st 4lb and moved into maintenance. Swimming on holiday with her foster children became a particularly precious milestone. Most poignantly, her improved mobility meant she could care for her mum during her final days, something she remains deeply grateful for. Linda is now looking ahead with pride, greater confidence and the freedom to be there for those she loves.
