What. A. Day! An afternoon spent celebrating our amazing Slimmers, recognising their achievements and enjoying a beautiful afternoon tea in the fabulous Grand Hotel, Birmingham. It's time to share their inspiring stories. So, grab a cuppa and let’s get to it…
What are The Slimmer Awards?
The Slimmer Awards, by The 1:1 Diet, take place every year and it's an opportunity for us to celebrate the amazing successes of our Slimmers and their Consultants.
When and where did it take place?
This year’s Slimmer Awards took place on 22nd November 2025. As for location, it wouldn’t have been a celebration without a luxury destination. That’s why we chose The Grand Hotel, a gorgeous landmark hotel that was originally opened by Isaac Horton back in 1879. Located in the centre of Birmingham, just a stone’s throw from the city’s cathedral, its opulent accommodation and delectable dining made it the perfect destination for this year’s awards.
This year’s categories
This year, there’s something for everyone..
Woman of the Year
This award is for the woman who’s done it all. Think huge transformation, a life-changing weight loss and a healthier attitude to food. Not only that, she’s discovered a new zest of life, becoming an inspiration and icon to all those who want to follow in her footsteps.
Man of the Year
This award is for the man who’s not only lost a life-changing amount of weight, but who’s also discovered a new passion for life, becoming an inspiration and guide to all who’ve followed his journey. From big physical transformation to a new and healthier approach to food, this is our man of the moment.
Maintainer of the Year
For the ones who’ve lost the weight and kept it off for more than two years. A story of how you’ve proven time and time again, that you’ve not only transformed the way you look but the way you live your life too. This award goes to those who recognise that The 1:1 Diet is a lifestyle change, and that only through motivation and dedication you’ll make a transformation that lasts a lifetime.
Transformation of the Year
This award goes to the person who’s truly overhauled their life. It could be that they’ve found love since losing weight, and are now planning the wedding of their dreams. Or maybe their newly discovered confidence landed them an amazing job, doing something they could’ve only ever imagined before The 1:1 Diet. It’s an award that’s all about celebrating life’s big, and sometimes small, wins.
The Wellbeing Award
This award is for the person who’s not only changed the way they look, but also embraced wellness and transformed their health. Maybe they’ve been able to reverse their type 2 diabetes, and feel healthier than they have in years. Or is it a more personal story, one where they’ve been able to successfully grow their family after years of fertility issues? Whatever the journey, it’s time to celebrate how much they’ve achieved.

The winners
Ok, let’s cut to the chase and tell you who won their category!
Woman of the Year
Winner: Pip (Philipa) Smith
Weight loss: 16st
Consultant: Josie Heath-Smith

At just 22, Pip’s world was shattered after the loss of her baby daughter, Daisy, when she was 7 months pregnant. Broken and feeling lost, the weight crept on. The turning point came when she realised she needed to stay focused for her other two daughters. Now she’s an amazing 15 stone lighter, walking up to 40k steps every day - with a goal to climb Ben Nevis in the new year.
Josie, Pip’s Consultant says: “Pip is unrecognisable — inside and out. She’s a fighter, admirable and truly stoic. Watching her grow in confidence and strength has been incredible.”
Man of the Year
Winner: Aidan Pritchard
Weight loss: 6st 2lbs
Consultant: Tracy and Dave Willett

As a paramedic working on the frontline, Aidan wanted to transform his health to better help others. After a low moment on a ride at Blackpool Pleasure Beach, Aidan committed to losing weight with The 1:1 Diet. For Aidan, his journey has been life-changing, and he’s now planning his wedding for 2026 - the future’s looking bright!
“With Tracy’s guidance, The 1:1 Diet and a belief I never had before, I know I’m no longer just changing my body - I’m transforming my future.”

Weight loss: 3st 1lbs
Consultant: Susan Brearley

Initially, Barry joined The 1:1 Diet to support his wife, Susan’s, newest business venture. But, he soon realised he was actually doing it for himself. He’s now been able to reverse his diabetes, be less reliant on his wheelchair and transform his mental health.
“I feel lighter in every sense,” Barry says. “Not just on my feet, but in my head. For years, I carried pain, medication and weight all together. Letting go of that has given me a new life.”
Transformation Award
Winner: Daisie Jenson
Weight loss: 7st 6lbs
Consultant: Tina and Scarlett Brown

Being told she was at risk of a heart attack at 25 lit a fire within Daisie, and she knew she had to make some serious changes. Fearing she may be doing irreversible damage to her body, Daisie joined The 1:1 Diet, where she not only lost 7st 6lbs, but she also gained confidence and a passion for exercise.
Daisie says, “The 1:1 Diet didn’t just help me lose weight — it gave me back my life. It rebuilt my confidence, improved my mental health, transformed my career and showed me that I am worthy of love, happiness and health.”

Ann is proof that it’s never too late to start something big. After losing her husband and suffering a devastating heart attack, Ann knew it was time to change her life. That’s when she joined The 1:1 Diet, after being inspired by her son’s own personal weight loss journey. Since then, she’s gone on to lose an incredible 7st 10lbs, dropping from 18st 7lbs to 10st 11lbs, and now regularly walks 10k steps every day.
