How to Lose Weight Well
In 2018, Elaine and her friend Sue were on Channel 4’s How to Lose Weight Well. Elaine was given the ‘Ice Cream Diet’, and Sue was given The 1:1 Diet by Cambridge Weight Plan*. They both did very well and lost 2st 11lbs each!
Unlike Sue, Elaine ended up putting about 10lbs back on. Sue suggested she should give The 1:1 Diet a try…
“The Ice Cream Diet was all right but I don’t like ice cream so that was a bit tricky. Sue and I had tried every diet going so I thought I might as well give this one a go. I lost the weight, which was great, but summer happened and, with lots of BBQs and what not, I ended up putting on a little weight.
“Sue said I should give The 1:1 Diet a go. At first, I was like ‘no way! I can’t live off shakes’ but then I realised they had a whole load of other meal replacement products. I work as a busy hairdresser and I’m on my feet all day, so I did Step 2 which is three products a day plus a healthy meal. With our Consultants Tracey and Chris Salton’s help, I lost those extra pounds and it worked so well for me.
“Sue told me she knew The 1:1 Diet was going to work for her because she got on so well with her Consultants, and I now know exactly what she means. Having that one-to-one support was so important. I get support from my personal trainer at the gym, and this gave me support for my diet. I’d get regular texts and they always kept me motivated so I was on track.
“I said to Sue we will never diet again because we have this new mindset. We know we’ll always have our Consultants there for support if we ever need it, but we now have a new way of life.”
“Before the show, I had heard of The 1:1 Diet by Cambridge Weight Plan but it was something I’d never tried because I thought it was all shakes. I never realised you could eat meals on it as well.”
“My Consultants were Chris and Tracey Salton and they were fabulous. They were always so helpful and kept me motivated throughout.
“I’m not very good at diets where you have to weigh things out so having everything ready to microwave or eat was perfect for me. I hate exercise too, so knowing I could do The 1:1 Diet by Cambridge Weight Plan without having to do that was great.
“I started out as a dress size 16 to 18 and am now a size 12, which I’m so pleased about. I still see Chris and Tracey if I ever feel like I’ve put a few pounds on, such as after Christmas or a holiday.
“Since losing weight I feel confident enough to wear jeans and shorter tops. Before I’d always hide my bottom under long tops.
“When Elaine said she wanted to shift those extra pounds, I knew straight away that The 1:1 Diet would work for her.”
