Food has always been my comfort blanket, something I turn to following a crisis. As I have got older and, dare I say, wiser, I realise food is not the answer. Happiness is not hiding in a family sized block of chocolate! With the help of my own 1:1 consultant, I learnt so much about my relationship with food and I have come to appreciate the importance of a healthy diet and pain-free knees!
I lost weight once on the Plan and felt fantastic, but following a couple of tough years, including losing my Dad and then having a hysterectomy, which threw me head first into a clinical menopause, I put a lot of my weight back on.
When I turned into a total couch-potato during the first lockdown in 2020, feeling miserable and lethargic, I decided enough is enough and I got back on Plan.
By April 2021 I had lost 5 stone and 3 pounds and I felt AMAZING! Nothing beats the feeling when friends and family compliment you on your weight loss. I remember when someone said "you look like a different person". The truth is, I feel like a different person. I no longer shy away from the camera, or avoid going on beach holidays. Not only can I wear lovely, fitted, clothes, I have bags more energy and a TONNE more confidence!! I LOVE the plan, so much so that I decided to become a consultant to help others lose weight and FEEL the way I do.
I have been maintaining my weight loss for almost 5 years. I am so energised and I love the diet so much that I have no doubt I will continue to maintain my goal weight.
