I became a single mum when my boys were 1 and 2... They are now 10 and 11.
Being a 1:1 consultant has allowed me to build a booming business and win major awards all achieved alongside the school runs!
I have never missed sports day, parents consultations, christmas fayres or nativities. I have helped on school trips and with classroom reading. No last minute childcare needed for sick days or teacher training days...
Such moments have been precious to me and my flexible working has allowed me to be entirely present throughout their childhoods so far, long may it continue!
