2 Years ago, a physio told me I needed to lose weight immediately to avoid having serious knee problems for the rest of my life. He told me to cycle every night on an exercise bike while watching T.V. I did it twice. I didn’t like cycling. I put on more weight, my knees hurt even more. I was struggling to walk my dogs. I was stuck.
I went to a personal trainer who said the same thing. He got me fitter but I didn’t lose weight. My knees were still hurting. I put on more weight.
Exercise wasn’t the answer. My knees were agony and I put on more weight so I stopped the PT sessions. I weighed 14 and a half stone. I was spiralling out of control; I wanted someone to wave a magic wand to banish my excess weight and get rid of the agonising pain in my knees.
