My story… and how The 1:1 Diet saved me...
I’d been overweight for most of my adult life, and after each pregnancy I gained more. My eating habits weren’t great: takeaways, sugary snacks, grabbing whatever was quick, and for years I put my family first and myself last.
Slowly, my confidence disappeared. I stopped wanting to go out, avoided social situations, and became a hermit.
Everything changed when I ended up in hospital with sepsis. I was ill in HDU for two weeks. That was the wake up call I needed. I realised my health had to become my priority, because if I didn’t change, I might not be around to watch my children grow up.
That’s when I started The 1:1 Diet.
I began on Step 4, then moved to Step 3, and over 14 months I lost 11 stone, going from a size 26 to a size 12. Step 3 suited me perfectly because it gave me structure and flexibility. I could still eat real food and fit it around family life.
My partner joined me too and lost 4 stone. He reversed his diabetes and came off all medication, and now he maintains his weight and feels amazing.
I feel reborn, full of energy and confidence, and I can finally join in with my children instead of watching from the sidelines.
