Hi, I’m Lynette and I love food! 

The start of 2018 filled me with dread; I was turning 40 in the August and my BMI wasn’t far behind at 39.8.  I had tried all diets possible, but despite me feeling rotten about being overweight I just couldn’t stick to anything. The weight loss was slow and I felt like I was depriving myself of the foods I loved with very little reward.  I would go shopping with my friends and I was so uncomfortable, they all wanted to shop till they dropped but I felt like after an hour I literally was going to drop…..dead!

I work full time, sitting at a desk all day.  Exercising was painful due to my weight. Always exhausted I found that all I did was go to work, come home and sleep.  I had no energy.

I needed to do something, not only because my health was deteriorating but I wanted a baby and it wasn’t happening. For my hospital consultant to complete an IVF referral I needed to get my BMI below 30 before I reached 40.  

I had done a ‘similar’ diet before and had a good result but the product selection was limited so I had gotten bored.  I browsed the internet and found Cambridge Weight Plan.  The choice of products was actually making my mouth water!

I contacted a consultant and made an appointment. If I could stick to the plan I could lose the weight and get my referral…..no matter how bad it was!

I can’t believe I am actually saying this but, I really enjoy the diet.  There is so much choice to have a variety of meals so I didn’t get bored of the same thing.

July 2018 I hit my target of 4 stone. I have this confidence in myself I never knew I could have.  Still 2 stone away from where I wanted to be but I felt amazing and had so much energy.  My 40th birthday was fabulous and I danced all night!  I couldn’t have done that without the 1:1 Diet and my amazing consultant.
