Losing weight was the best gift I have ever given myself. Believe me when I tell you I understand the struggle! Before I started The 1:1 Diet I was pre-menopausal and dangerously obese with a BMI of 43 and wearing size 24/26 clothes.
I had a busy lifestyle as a Project Manager in Further Education and was mostly resorting to convenience foods and take-aways. I was desperately unhappy with low self-esteem and even less self-confidence. Burying my head in the sand, spending nights at home comfort eating and gaining even more weight I dreaded being invited to events, spending a fortune on an outfit, only to most likely cancel going and for it to be hidden away in the back of my wardrobe never to be worn.
On a dream holiday with my husband to Goa I was mortified to have to ask for a seat belt extension on the flights and struggled the whole time I was there with my weight in the heat. On my return I vowed to find a way to lose weight and was recommended to try what was then called The Cambridge Diet. After doing my research and figuring "What have I got to lose?" I began my weight loss journey. Despite my nerves and fear about feeling hungry I found the diet so simple to follow and within a few days the hunger was gone, along with the all consuming food noise too.
I lost ELEVEN pounds* in my first week and went on to shed over EIGHT STONE in just under 11 months. By the end of that year I was a size 12, my confidence was sky-high and my 50th birthday party was truly a night to remember!
I was so thrilled with the results that I decided to train as a Consultant and have helped 100s of people of all ages, shapes and sizes achieve their own weightloss goals.
