“I was in a relationship which broke down and started putting on weight afterwards.
“I saw an advert for The 1:1 Diet and about three or four months later managed to pluck up courage to call The Hannigans, who became my Consultants.
“I was overweight and had high cholesterol when I first went to see them. Since losing weight, my cholesterol levels are back to normal.
“My confidence has grown so much since losing more than three stone.
“I’ve started running again, which is the first time I have for about 20 years, and do that three to four times a week for around three to four miles.
“I enjoy putting my music on and running and my aim is to run the Edinburgh half marathon next year.
“Running is not only good for keeping my weight in check, it’s good for my mental health too.
“I feel much happier now than I did when I was overweight.
“I’m still looking for Mr Right and have gone speed dating – something I’d never have done before losing weight.
“And I’ve joined a dating site, which I wouldn’t have done before either.
“I also went to Canada on my own last year visiting friend and my social life has transformed.
“I eat slower now and drink so much more water, which not only helped my weight loss but has improved my skin so much.”
