What is the Maintainer of the Year Award
This award is for the person who’s lost weight and kept it off for more than two years. A story of how they’ve proven time, and time again, that they’ve not only transformed the way they look but the way they live their life too. It goes to those who recognise that The 1:1 Diet is a lifestyle change, and that only through motivation and dedication you’ll make a transformation that lasts a lifetime.
Let's talk about Lindsay......
My Motivation
After Lindsay’s dad was diagnosed with stage 3 oesophageal cancer, she wanted to support him by going on their own ‘Race For Life’. For her, this race involved wanting to lose weight. So, she held a pact with her Dad, that if he kept fighting she would stay strong and healthy right by his side.
My Journey
After trying other diets in the past, Lindsay decided to give The 1:1 Diet a go. Initially devastated by how big she’d got, she was soon set up with the right plan for her and lost 9lbs in her first week. And before she knew it, she’d lost 6st 3lbs.
“This is when the diet really started, I had to learn to keep that weight off. Yet another pact came... I would keep off my weight and dad would stay in remission - we both had a future to look to.”
With her newfound confidence, she’s now following her dream into the priesthood and attending ordination training, where she’ll be able to lead services, preach sermons and get involved with baptisms, weddings and funerals.
“My Dad is still in remission (my hero) - a promise made is a promise kept.”
Testimonial
“Lindsay was my rock, no matter what size she was, but she was unhappy. We faced the worst 12 months a family could face, and Lindsay kept going throughout. With the help of The 1:1 Diet and a pact we made, I would beat the big C and she would lose weight. And we did it in style! I am immensely proud of the woman she is, and the fact all of this gave her a new zest for life and confidence for her to achieve her ultimate goal of ordination into the priesthood.
Another proud day as a dad to watch her grow and blossom and become Rev Lindsay. She had every reason going - to fail, give up, not achieve, but no - she smashed it! I am her hero but she is my heroine and I am totally proud of who she is and what she has done and is still doing.” - David, Lindsay’s Dad.
