Karen’s Story: My weight loss injection journey & why choosing my Consultant was key to my weight loss.

Wanting to lose weight and feel like herself again, Karen Lay decided to give the weight-loss jabs, Mounjaro, a try. At first, she loved the weight loss, but it wasn’t long before she realised Mounjaro wasn’t the right fit for her.

“Yes I wanted to lose weight, but I also wanted to be normal.”

“I like food. I enjoy going out to eat with my girlfriends. On weight loss injections, all I wanted was a glass of water. I didn’t want to be like that for the rest of my life.”

But what came once Karen stopped injections was nothing short of crazy. After just two weeks, her appetite returned with vengeance, and within just four weeks, Karen had gained 11lbs (5kgs).

On top of eating habits, Karen has also committed to three strength-training sessions a week, as well as a long walk. 

“I’ve started to see definition in my arms for the first time. I’m full of energy!”
