I was 6 months pregnant when I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes. Coming from a family with type 2 diabetes I felt like it was inevitable rather than preventable. Being diagnosed came as a shock nevertheless and the medical advice given to me was quite disturbing therefore I needed to make a lifestyle change to avoid developing Type 2 diabetes in the future. This was indeed an eye opener!
I had put on at least 3 stones and was very uncomfortable, unfit & unhealthy. This was quite daunting because it was the heaviest I have ever been. I was unable to control my eating habits and portion control went straight out the window! My clothes no longer fitted! Unfortunately nothing worked until I discovered the 1:1 Cambridge weight plan. This diet certainly helped with me gaining control over my food! It literally saved my life. The meals are very healthy and contains all the daily nutritional supplements required.
