My daughter Nicola recently joined the Cambridge 1:1 diet with her new consultant Angela Ntoutsi, I was privileged to be present at her first home visit. On observing their first meeting I was quite mesmerised by the amount of time that Angela had taken explaining the diet, advising her of all the good reasons why she should try this programme, to not feel a failure at any time if she slipped up and to take one day at a time , only a few examples of what Angela had spoken to Nicola about.  As soon as Angela had arrived my first impression was a very friendly, lovely welcoming lady that was ready to give her all to understand Nicola’s needs and her determination that what ever excuse Nicola gave to her she was not giving up on her.  By the end of Nicola’s first session, I too have always had a weight problem but was at the stage where “I couldn’t be bothered at the moment” , I was so impressed with Angela’s dedication, motivation, and determination I too decided to join Angela’s class and look forward to not only a weekly visit from my consultant and a weight loss but someone who you can call your friend who is there for you anytime.
