I’m Nikki, I work as a Nurse, I know what it is like to have a busy life with lots to juggle.

I’m a people person and I really enjoy helping to support others in achieving their weight loss goals. I am still on my weight loss journey and find its best to lose weight together, so come and join me. 

My weight has yo-yoed for years, I’ve tried numerous diets.  My problem was portion control, with the 1:1 diet I have learnt this and that my body doesn’t need mountains of food.

It dawned on me why it was increasingly hard to breathe when bending down to cut my toenails, do up my shoes, it was hard putting on my socks, the list goes on.  My belly was getting in the way, I am now able to do all these things easily and I don’t need a bra extender anymore.  

I avoided meeting with friends, I felt they would think ‘goodness hasn’t she gained weight’. 

My son who is 13 said he wants me to take him to waterparks and out on our scooters again, he asked why I won’t do these things anymore.  This really upset me, and I knew I needed to make positive changes.

My son and I went to a theme park, we love looking at the photos they take of us on the ride.  We got off one ride and some teenagers were laughing and pointing, I realised they were laughing at the photo of me. To be honest the photo was awful, in hindsight I should have bought it so I could see the person I am NEVER going to be again!

I grew out of my work tunics so got larger ones.  These also became too tight, my eating was out of control, I was getting joint pain, and had never been so heavy.  My self-esteem was at an all time low BUT I stopped myself getting yet another larger uniform, I decided to do the 1:1 diet instead.  My uniform is now too big, and I am back into my smaller uniform, my joint pain has gone, I am feeling more confident within my own skin and I feel in control.

The 1:1 diet has changed my life for the better and I am confident this is my new path to a happier and healthier me.
