Hi, I'm Karen!

Hi there, my names Karen, my journey with the 1:1 diet started back in May 21 following lockdown. Like most I'd gained some extra lbs & stones. I'd tried all the other usual diets, and at first they were great and I had good losses. However, before long I was making excuses of why I couldn't go to class, sitting through the circle of happy clappers. Bad habits creeped back in and before long I gave up. I needed to find something that would learn me portion control, and to help get rid of those sugar cravings.

One day, I bumped into a colleague at work and had to do a double take. She looked amazing, she'd  lost so much weight. I was intrigued and asked her how she did it. 
"I followed the 1:1 diet, also known as the Cambridge diet". Like most I responded with, " oh the one where you have shakes".  She quickly set my understanding straight and explained there was more than shakes and the diet was much more than people think. I was inspired so decided to investigate more. That evening I looked up the site, I found my nearest consultant and dropped her an email. Within an hour I had a response back and was introduced to Vicky who only lived a 10 minute walk away.

I booked in for my first free consultation that week. Once Vicky had gone through my medical history and height, weight etc. She showed me a plan that would work for me. I signed up immediately and walked away with my first weeks supply of products.

I thought initially I would be hungry, fortunately I wasn't as I'd followed all the tips my consultant had given me. My first week I lost 5lbs, it felt great, I'd finally found something that worked for me. It was more personal on a one to one level, it was flexible around my work, life balance and if I couldn't make a face to face, I could have a virtual meeting. I loved it.

My initial goal was to lose a stone for my daughters wedding. I achieved this and more. To date I've lost 23lbs with a period of maintain whilst celebrating my big 50 and having my dream holiday. I've decided to continue my journey, & help others on their journey as I face the next stage of mine.
