Mayor dumps the weight
I reversed my type 2 diabetes. As a scientist (Physicist in the engineering sector and teaching all sciences in schools, as a head of department) I worked in an office or school doing long hours and never noticed the weight creep on. Then as a Mayor with all the longer hours and charity functions I put on a lot of weight. I decided to do something about it, but too late – Type 2 diagnosed and my GP told me there was nothing that could be done. I decided to research the issue and found that it was possible and tried to put myself through my own diet. While I was successful in gradually losing weight from 109Kg to 87.4Kg in 35weeks it was a slow process and the weight just went back on. Further while I had lost weight, the symptoms of diabetes had not gone. I then came across the Cambridge Weight plan and was able to map that to my goal. Weight loss was suddenly far more predictable, I was having to buy new trousers regularly because my waste line was quickly shrinking. I went from 89.6Kg to 82.3Kg in just 2 months! Not only that but I was not getting the symptoms I once had. My GP practice nurse was amazed that I had done what I said I was going to do.
Yes, there is a little creep back on over the Christmas and holiday period, but my weight is under control and I have learned to minimise the creep and dump it again when the celebrations are over.
Dumping the weight and type 2 diabetes, allowed me to turn my life around. I am fitter, I do martial arts now and cycle regularly and losing the weight means I am not out of breath all the time. Further there is less stress on my joints.
Today I want to help as many as I can to turn their lives around too.

How do I find the right Consultant?
When you put in your postcode, you’ll see all the Consultants nearest you. Don’t worry if they’re not on your doorstep – lots of our Consultants are happy to come to you. Take a look at their profile and read what the dieters they have helped so far say – that should help you find someone on your wavelength. How often will I need to see my Consultant?
You’ll typically see your Consultant once a week for a weigh in and catch up, but you will have their phone number and you may get regular calls or texts from them in between appointments. A lot of our Consultants use Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to keep in touch with their dieters too. They’re there to support you, so make sure you lean on them when the going gets tough - as it sometimes will. They’ll know exactly how to keep you on track.
How’s this different to other diet plans?
