keySo I'll always battle with my weight, sometimes I'll win and at other times I'll lose. I'm a comfort eater you see, food is my crutch, so if I feel anxious I turn to food, upset I turn to food, angry - think you get what I'm trying to say.
When I wake up I'm already thinking about my next meal, I might not eat that next meal straight away but I'm planning it. I don’t often sit down to eat a meal unless I'm 100% on plan, I graze instead, which is actually worse because often I can’t recall actually eating because I grabbed lots of bits as I've gone along.
I had started to gain some weight towards the end of last year as I had stopped going to the gym and some bad habits, mainly alcohol, had crept in. I gained about a stone but it was ok, I still felt great, and my clothes still fit. Then lockdown came along and well!
So why am I telling you this........just simply to remind you that consultants are human , I havent taken a magic pill to lose weight, I have been on your journey and understand what you're going through.
This plan works but it's not for the faint hearted.
- You really do have to want it above anything else.
- You will need to pull on all your reserves of willpower but it's worth it.
Your journey will be what you make it, it can be fast, no-nonsense, straight to goal or it may be on a much slower tract with bends and bumps. Regardless of the type of journey you will get to where you want to be with focus and determination.
As with any plan, once you get to goal if you go back to 'normal', whatever your normal is, you will start to gain weight. However if you continue to apply the principals learned and make that your 'normal' you will maintain your losses.
I understand the highs and lows, I can share with you coping mechanisms enabling you to dig deep and carry on. I will be on your journey with you, on hand to support you and cheer you on.
